Currently the President of the Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines and Republic Cement & Building Materials, Inc., a CRH-Aboitiz company. He has over two decades of experience in the cement industry, having held senior roles at Lafarge Group, including CFO and General Manager in Lafarge Russia, CFO of Lafarge Cement Philippines, and Regional Controller for Asia based in Paris, France. He began his career at SGV & Co. (EY Philippines) as an auditor. Mr. Dizon also serves on the boards of the Federation of Philippine Industries and recently the Government Procurement Policy Board, as Private Sector Representative. A strong advocate of “Buy Local” and sustainable procurement, he actively supports local industry development. He holds a BS in Accountancy from the University of Santo Tomas, and an MBA from the Asian Institute of Management, with executive training from Duke University and INSEAD.

Age 78, Mr. Pangilinan graduated cum laude from the Ateneo de Manila University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He received his MBA degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In Manila, he worked for Philippine Investment Management Consultants Inc. (PHINMA) in the Philippines, and in Hong Kong with Bancom International Limited and American Express Bank. Thereafter he founded First Pacific in May 1981.

Mr. Pangilinan served as Managing Director of First Pacific since its founding in 1981 until 1999. He was appointed Executive Chairman until June 2003, after which he was named Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Mr.Pangilinan holds the positions of President Commissioner of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk and PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk in Indonesia. In the Philippines, Mr. Pangilinan was once again appointed as President and CEO of PLDT, Inc and Smart Communications, Inc in January 2024. He also became the President and CEO of Manila Electric Company (Meralco) effective June 1, 2023. He is the Chairman, President and CEO of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation; PLDT Communications and Energy Ventures, Inc., Chairman of ePLDT, Global Business Power Corporation (GBP) - wholly owned by MERALCO PowerGen Corporation (MGen), Terra Solar Philippines, Inc. (TSPI) - wholly owned subsidiary of SP New Energy Corporation (SPNEC), which develops the Philippines’ largest solar facility. Maynilad Water Services, Inc., Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation, NLEX Corporation, Philex Mining Corporation, PXP Energy Corporation, Landco Pacific Corporation, Metro Pacific Health – the largest group of private hospitals and other healthcare facilities with 23 hospitals such as Makati Medical Center, Cardinal Santos Medical Center, et al; Mediaquest Holdings, Inc. and Associated Broadcasting Corporation (TV 5), and the Vice Chairman of Roxas Holdings, Inc. He is a Director of Axelum Resources Corporation.

In recognition of Mr. Pangilinan’s contributions to the country, the Philippine Air Force awarded him the rank of Lieutenant Colonel (Res) in a promotion list approved by the Philippine President in July 2021. In 2010, the Office of the President of the Philippines awarded Mr. Pangilinan the Order of Lakandula with
the rank of Bayani. Mr. Pangilinan was awarded the First Honorary Doctorate Degree in Management by the Asian Institute of Management in 2016, Honorary Doctorate in Science by Far Eastern University in 2010, in Humanities by Holy Angel University in 2008, by Xavier University in 2007 and by San Beda College
in 2002 in the Philippines. He was formerly Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Ateneo de Manila University and was a member of the Board of Overseers of the Wharton School.

In civic duties, Mr. Pangilinan sits as Chairman of the Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP), PLDT Smart Foundation Inc., One Meralco Foundation Inc., Metro Pacific Foundation Inc, and Co-Chairman of the Philippine Disaster Resilience Foundation (PDRF), and is a Director of the Philippine Business for Education (PBED). He is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of San Beda College and Co-Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of Stratbase Albert del Rosario Institute and the U.S.– Philippine Society.

In sports, Mr. Pangilinan is Chairman of the MVP Sports Foundation, Inc. and Chairman Emeritus of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas.

Currently serves as Executive Director of JG Summit Holdings, Inc. (JGSHI) and President and Chief Executive Officer of Merbau Corporation, the Renewable Energy arm of JGSHI. Over the course of his career, he has held several senior leadership positions within the Gokongwei Group, including President and CEO of JG Summit Olefins Corporation and Peak Fuel Corporation, where he was instrumental in expanding the Group’s footprint in the petrochemical and fuels industries. He also led the successful transformation of Universal Robina Corporation’s Flexible Packaging and BOPP business units into leading players in the Philippine market.

Mr. Go is a former Chairman and now a consultant of the Association of Petrochemical Manufacturers of the Philippines. He remains a member of the Board of Directors of the Alliance to End Plastic Waste and the Federation of Philippine Industries, Inc. He also serves as Director of Universal Robina Corporation, Robinsons Land Corporation, Manila Electric Company (Meralco), Meralco Powergen Corporation, and JG Summit Olefins Corporation, and is Trustee and Treasurer of the Gokongwei Brothers Foundation, Inc. 

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Management from the Ateneo de Manila University and completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School.
