(PHINMA) in the Philippines, and in Hong Kong with Bancom International Limited and American Express Bank. Thereafter he founded First Pacific in May 1981.
Mr. Pangilinan served as Managing Director of First Pacific since its founding in 1981 until 1999. He was appointed Executive Chairman until June 2003, after which he was named Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. In government, he was Secretary of Presidential Flagship Programs and Undersecretary of Department of Trade and Industry and Department of Agriculture. He was awarded the Presidential Golden Heart Award.
In the private sector, he was President of the Asean Federation of Cement Manufacturers (AFCM) and the Cement Manufacturers Association of the Philippines (CEMAP). Beth Lee is one of the most recognizable faces in the automotive industry. She has over two decades of industry experience and has chalked up a formidable record as Universal Motors Corporation’s (UMC-NISSAN) Chief Operating Officer, serving the company for 12 years; as the youngest and first female president serving the longest term (7 years) as President of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI), and as a leader in an industry known for innovation, technology and global operations- the same industry dominated by men.
Today, she is a social entrepreneur and co-founder of EMotors, Inc., an e-mobility company, makers of ZüM electric vehicles, founded to help poverty alleviation, job creation, and climate change mitigation.
